A Richard favorite from Australia, this Shiraz/Granach is a solid mouthful of bold Barossa fruit,
leaning toward black cherries in this vintage, with a slightly creamy mouthfeel and a long, supple finish.

Vanilla aromas are at the fore, along with notes of nougat, sweet spice and cherry. Rich, barrel-forward flavors follow, with the tannins bringing some astringency. The oak steals the show, but there's still enjoyment to be had.

This is a big, toasty, buttery wine that is also nicely balanced by vivid fruit flavors and acidity. It shows a blend of citrus and pineapple with light baking spices and accents of both cream and vanilla.
