Chateau Lagrugere, L'Essentiel Bordeaux Rouge

Vibrant ruby in color with a lovely depth, the nose on this jumps right out at you, a heady swirl of morello cherry, wild strawberry, roses and violets. The textural frame is superb, firm tannins that quickly dissolve in the mouth under a summer fruit bowl of strawberry, blackberry and rhubarb flavors, with refreshing piquancy from redcurrant and sour cherry notes, all set on a minerally base like you’re sucking wet stones dipped in fruit compôte.
